Excursion to Delphi

On this one-day tour we will discover Delphi, one of the most famous cities of the ancient world and one of the most famous destinations in Greece today, being an ideal place to learn about Greek mythology and history.

Itinerary

After picking you up at the hotel, we will head to Delphi, a fascinating city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO that is home to the well-known Temple of Apollo.

 

Along the way we will pass through Boeotia and Thebes without stopping and we will make a short break in Livadiá, where you can go to the bathroom or have a coffee. Once in Delphi, known in ancient times as "the navel of the world", we will visit the monument to the kings of Argos, the Treasury and the very famous Temple of Apollo.

 

Next, we will enter the Archaeological Museum to see its masterpieces, among which the Charioteer of Delphi stands out.

 

Afterwards, they will eat at a nice traditional-style family restaurant (optional). After this, we will take the road back to Athens and pass through the picturesque town of Aráchova, built on the southern slope of Mount Parnassus.

 

We will drop you back at the hotel around 6:30 p.m.

Tour of Athens and visit to the Acropolis

We will discover the main points of interest in Athens and enter the Acropolis on this panoramic tour. We will enjoy the best-known classical monuments and the most modern side of the city.

Itinerario

We will begin the tour by picking you up at your hotel at 8:00 a.m., and then take a panoramic tour of the main monuments of Athens, while a specialized guide tells us the history of the city in an interesting and entertaining way.

 

Some of the places we will visit are Syntagma Square, the National Garden, Hadrian's Arch, St. Paul's Church, Parliament House, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Catholic Cathedral, University of Athens, Academy of Athens and the National Library.

 

Afterwards, we will make a brief stop at the Panathenaic Stadium, an impressive white marble structure where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. We will continue our tour passing by the Zappeion and the Temple of Olympian Zeus.

 

The highlight of the tour is the guided tour of the Acropolis, the symbol of the city. Once inside, we will have the opportunity to admire some of the most important monuments of the classical era of Greece, such as the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Propylaea.

Excursion to Meteora
