We will meet you at Split port when your cruise arrives. From there, we will walk to the old town of the Croatian city to begin a three-hour tour of its most emblematic places.

 

First, we will stop in front of the statue of Bishop Gregory of Nin, which dates back to the 10th century. Legend has it that if you touch the big toe of his foot, it will bring you good luck. Afterwards, we will see the Golden Gate of Split's most famous monument. Can you guess which one it is?

 

Diocletian's Palace is a huge complex built between the 3rd and 4th centuries AD. by order of the Roman emperor Diocletian. Today, it is in perfect condition and in 1979 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is a true architectural marvel!

 

We will cross its courtyard and enter the Cathedral of San Duje, which includes the church, the imperial mausoleum and the bell tower. We will also visit the ruins of the ancient Temple of Jupiter, where we will admire two sphinxes that were brought from Egypt. Then we will walk through the Jewish quarter of Split, where one of the most beautiful synagogues in Europe is located. Finally, you will have 40 minutes of free time to continue exploring the historic center on your own and leisurely return to the port of Split to board again.

Excursion to Šibenik and Krka waterfalls

After pickup from your hotel in Split, we'll head north through the picturesque region of Dalmatia.

 

Our first stop will be in the beautiful city of Šibenik, where we will take a guided tour in Spanish of the Cathedral of Santiago. This temple, declared a World Heritage Site, houses numerous works of art that will allow us to better understand what life and society was like in the 15th century in this area of the Dalmatian coast.

 

Later, you will have free time to enjoy one of the restaurants found in the picturesque alleys of Šibenik. Afterwards, we will continue our route towards the spectacular landscapes of the nearby Krka Waterfalls National Park. Once there, our guide will give us a talk about the origin of the park and its natural importance.

 

Then, they will have four hours of free time to walk its trails and admire the diversity of its flora and fauna. In the afternoon, we will meet again to return to the hotels in Split.

Split boat ride at sunset

Do you want to end the day in the best way? Join us on this Split sunset cruise. You can relax watching the sun go down on the coast while enjoying live music and snacks.

Itinerary

We will meet at the port of Split to board the cruise that will take us to explore the so-called Dalmatian Coast of Croatia.

 

As evening falls we will sail to Marjan Hill, also known as the lungs of the city, and we will be able to relax watching the sunset over the sea. We will continue our cruise to head to Kastela Bay, guarded by the slopes of Kozkaj, and there we will be able to admire the Hajduk football stadium, a symbol for the inhabitants of Split due to its history and architecture. On board we will also be able to see the new part of the city, and while we relax with the sway of the boat we will admire how the sun sets over the beaches of Split.

Excursion to Dubrovnik

At 7:00 a.m. we will pick you up from your hotel in Split to head south. We will cross the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina and arrive in Dubrovnik after a three-hour trip. Ready to enter the pearl of the Adriatic?

 

There we will walk through the historic center of this World Heritage city. We will tour its citadel, see the Onofrio Fountain and the Franciscan Monastery, which features its beautiful Romanesque cloister from the 14th century.

 

We will also learn about some of the legends of Dubrovnik in front of the Church of San Blas and in front of the Orlando Column. In addition, we will make a brief stop at the Cathedral of the Assumption, an authentic baroque jewel. Afterwards you will have two and a half hours of free time to eat on your own or walk through its cobblestone streets feeling like part of the cast of Game of Thrones. With our batteries charged, we will continue the excursion stopping at a viewpoint to have Dubrovnik at our feet. You will fall in love!
