RUTA DE SAN PABLO 4 CON SIETE IGLESIAS APOCALIPTICAS

01 Llegada a Estambul

Llegada a Estambul. Traslado al hotel previsto y alojamiento.

02 Estambul

Desayuno. Excursión de día completo por la ciudad. Por la mañana realizaremos la visita a La Santa Sophia, monumento más identificativo de Estambul, una de las maravillas arquitectónicas más hermosas y además de ser una de las iglesias más grandes del mundo. Seguimos para la Mezquita Azul admirada por sus seis altos minaretes y cúpulas con terrazas que se alzan en el centro del edificio; comprobarás que el arquitecto consiguió su objetivo con la perfección de esta www.artravelint.com Bogotá – Colombia M: 3102057020 impresionante obra. La iglesia ahora está convertida en el Museo Kariye (Cora, Choro). Visita a la Mezquita de Süleymaniye, una de las magníficas obras del famoso arquitecto Sinan. Visita a la Patriarcado Ecuménica Ortodoxa. Por la tarde visitaremos el Bazar Egipcio (Mercado de las Especies). A continuación la calle peatonal de Istiklal y la posibilidad de asistir a misa en la Iglesia de San Antonio.

Regreso al hotel y alojamiento.

03 Estambul - Adana (190km) Vuelo doméstico incluido

Desayuno. Saldremos del hotel hacia al aeropuerto para tomar el vuelo hacia ADANA. Llegada y realizaremos un panorámico de la ciudad con la visita a la iglesia las muñecas. llegada al hotel en Adana, Cena y alojamiento.

04 Adana - Tarso - Capadocia (230km)

Desayuno. Salida hacia Tarso ciudad donde nació San Pablo. Visitaremos la Iglesia de San Pablo y el Poso de San Pablo. Seguiremos hacia Capadocia, tierra de Las Chimeneas de las Hadas. Llegada a Capadocia, traslado al hotel, Cena y alojamiento.

05 Capadocia

Tras el desayuno excursión de día completo. Visitamos el Museo al Aire Libre de Göreme donde contemplaremos algunas iglesias construidas en las rocas, que ofrecen frescos interiores. Seguiremos con la visita a un pueblo troglodita de Uçhisar. Continuacion al Valle de Los Palomares. Pasaremos por Pasabag (Valle de los Monjes) que también se le conoce por Las Chimeneas de las Hadas en forma de hongo. Seguiremos con el pueblo de alfarerosAvanos. Por la tarde visitaremos una ciudad subterránea: Serhatlı (o Özkonak), impresionante por sus varios niveles de profundidad, la misma fue utilizada por los primeros cristianos como refugio contra los enemigos durante los siglos VI y VII. Por ultimo visita un taller de alfombras para apreciar como se tejen las alfombras turcas conocidas en el mundo, untaller de onix y joyería.

06 Capadocia - Konya - Yalvac - Antalya (520km)

Desayuno. Salida hacia Konya (İconium) Capital del Gran İmperio Selyucida donde San Pablo y San Bernabé en su primer viaje misionero visitaran esta ciudad. Continuamos hacia Antioquia de Psidia (Yalvaç) donde diera Pablo su primer sermón conocido en la Sinagoga de Antioquía un día de shabbat. Esta ciudad poseía una población considerable con una importante comunidad judía. Cena y alojamiento. Legada a Antalya.

07 Antalya - Perge - Aspendos - Antalya (80km)

Salida hacia Perge. Perge una de las ciudades romanas más importantes de la costa mediterránea de Asia Menor, fue el primer lugar donde Pablo puso el pie, junto a Bernabé y Marcos (el Evangelista). Visitaremos Aspendos, el Teatro Greco-Romano, uno de los mejores teatros conservados del mundo antiguo romano. Continuando Arqueológico de Antalya, Cena y Alojamiento.

08 Antalya - Laodisea - Pamukkale (300km)

Desayuno. salida para la antigua ciudad de Laodicea, ciudad donde se ubicara una delas siete iglesias de la Apocalypsis; visitaremos Las Ruinas Romanas. Posterior iremos a Pamukkale, montaña cubierta por blancos depósitos calcáreos que forman piscinas semicirculares ofrecen su paisaje único denominado Castillo de Algodón. La ciudad antigua de Hierápolis; necrópolis más grande de Anatolia y el Matrium de San Felipe donde fuera martirizado durante las persecuciones ordenadas por Domiciano acompañan el paso de esta visita.

09 Pamukkale - Philadelfia - Sardes - Esmirna

Desayuno. Salida hacia Philadelfia Visita en plan a la iglesia que lleva el nombre de San Juan. Esta iglesia era un edificio rectangular de seis pilares hechos de piedra reciclada con la estructura superior de ladrillo. Después dela visita a Filadelfia Almuerzo. Nos dirigiremos a Sardes; la actual Salihli. La capital de Lidia opulenta ciudad y el primer lugar donde se acuñaron las monedas deoro. El mito del Rey Midas tiene lugar en Sardes y su origen están en las arenas auríferas del Rio Pactolo que atraviesa las ruinas de la ciudad. Cabe destacar; el templo de Artemisa, el Gimnasio y la Sinagoga; para dar continuidad a Esmirna donde San Policarpo fuera martirizado. Visitamos La iglesia de San Policarpo. Izmir no ha dejado de ser una provincia habitada, por lo que no queda mucho de la antigua ciudad romana (Opción de hacer Misa), llegada al hotel de İzmir, cena y alojamiento en un hotel.

10 Esmirna – Tiatira - Mileto - Kusadasi

Desayuno y salida para Tiatira la actual Akhisar. ciudad muy conocida por los Tintes de Color Púrpura; visitaremos los restos de una basílica de la época bizantina. Tras el almuerzo; continuaremos a Mileto que es una antigua ciudad griega. Se encuentra al oeste de Anatolia. Muchos monumentos de Mileto están devastados. Los baños de Faustina y el teatro. También fue lugar donde San Pablo pronunciaría su discurso de despedida a los Efesos. Llegada a Kusadası. Cena y alojamiento.

11 Kusadasi - Efeso - Esmirna

Desayuno. Salida hacia Efeso, ciudad antigua mejor conservada de Asia Menor, que durante los siglos I y II tuvo una población de 250.000 habitantes y monopolizó las riquezas del Medio Oriente. Visitaremos el Templo de Artemisa, una de las Siete Maravillas del mundo antiguo, el Templo Adriano, Los Baños Romanos, la Biblioteca de Celso cuya fachada se encuentra en pie y el Odeón, teatro que tenía capacidad para 24.500 espectadores. En Efeso; visitaremos La Iglesia de La Virgen Maria donde realizara El Tercer Consilio Ecuménico en el ano 431.. Visita a la Casa de la Virgen María, supuesta última morada de la Madre de Jesús. Traslado al hotel de Esmirna, Cena y alojamiento.

12 Esmirna - Pergamo - Asos (O Edremit) (340km)

Desayuno. Salida hacia Pergamo, una de las ciudades más ricas de la antigua provincia romana de Asia y lugar donde surgió por primera vez el pergamino, a su vez; una de Las Siete Iglesias de La Apocalipsis. Las ruinas de la Acrópolis se encuentran en lo alto de una montaña que está en el centro de la actual ciudad de Bergama. En la Acrápolis; visitaremos el teatro más empinado del mundo, el templo de Trajano,el Templo de Atenea y el Altar de Zeus. Continuaremos hacia La Basílica Roja, templo para los dioses egipcios; posteriormente convertido en basílica por los bizantinos. Galeno, el más célebre médico de la Antigüedad nació en Pérgamo; visitaremos Las ruinas de su hospital el Asclepion y seguiremos hacia Asos (o Edremit). Llegada al hotel, Cena y alojamiento.

13 Asos (O Edremit) Alexandría Troas - Troya - Estambul (350km)

Desayuno. Salida hacia Alexandria Troas (Alejandría de Tróade) donde San Pablo pasó varios meses durante su segundo viaje, siendo aquí donde tuviera el sueño que lo impulsara a pasar a Macedonia e iniciar la Primera Predicación del Cristianismo en tierras europeas. Después de la visita de Alexandria Troas seguiremos hacia Troya, la conocida y antigua ciudad en La Ilíada de Homero y La Guerra de Troya. Resume esta visita El Caballo de Troya junto a su historia. Continuación hacia Estambul, traslado al hotel previsto y alojamiento.

14 Estambul

Desayuno y traslado al aeropuerto para tomar el vuelo de regreso.

JOURNEY OF THE APOSTLE PAUL 4 WITH THE SEVEN CHURCHES OF REVELATION

14 Days 13 Nights

01 Arrival in Instanbul

Arrival in Istanbul. Transfer to hotel for lodging.

02 Instanbul

Breakfast: Full day excursion of the city. In the morning, we visit Hagia Sofia, which is the most identified monument associated with Istanbul, one of the world’s most marvelous and beautiful architectural works. It also served as one of the world’s largest churches. We continue to the Blue Mosque admired for six levels of minarets and cupolas with terraces that rise in the center of the building; you will see the architecture meet its objective with perfection in this awesome work. The mosque is now converted into the Kariye Museum. Then visit the Mosque of Suleiman, one of the magnificent works of the famous architect Sinan. Visit the Venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George. In the afternoon, we will visit the Egyptian Bazaar (aka The Spice Market). We continue walking on Future Street with the possibility of attending mass at the Church of Saint Antonio. Return to the hotel.

03 Instanbul - Adana (118 Miles) Domestic Flight Included

Breakfast: We leave the hotel and travel to the airport where we take a flight to Adana. Upon arrival we will take in the panoramic view of the city with a visit to the Church of the Dolls. Arrive at the hotel in Adana for dinner and lodging.

04 Adana - Tarsus - Cappadocia (143 Miles)

Following breakfast, we depart for Tarsus, the city where the Apostle Paul was born. We visit the Church of Saint Paul and the Well of Saint Paul. We continue toward Cappadocia, the land of the Fairy Chimneys. We are taken to the hotel for dinner and lodging.

05 Cappadocia

After breakfast we have a full day excursion. We visit the Fresh Air Museum of Göreme were we will see churches cut into rocks that offer interior views of ancient frescos. We continue with a visit to a troglodyte community at Uchisar. Our journey continues to the Valley of the Doves/Pigeons. We pass by Pasabag (Valley of the Monks) that is also known for its Fairy Chimneys in the form of toadstools. We continue to the village of the Avanos potters. In the afternoon we will visit an underground city: Serhatli (or Ozkonak), impressive for its various levels of depth which were used by early Christians as a refuge against persecution during the 6th and 7th centuries. Our last stop of the day will be to a rug workshop to appreciate the weaving of Turkish rugs that are known worldwide and a workshop of onyx and jewelry.

Return to the hotel for dinner and lodging.

06 Cappadocia - Konya (Iconium) - Yalvac - Antalya (323 Miles)

After breakfast we depart toward Konya (İconium), once Capital of the Grand Selucid Empire where Paul and Barnabas visited on their first missionary journey. We continue toward Antioch of Pisidia (Yalvac) where the Apostle Paul gave his sermon on the Sabbath in the Hebrew synagogue. This city had a considerable population and was considered an important Jewish community.

07 Antalya - Perge - Aspendos - Antalya (50 Miles)

This day we visit Perge, one of the more important Roman cities of Asia Minor (now Turkiye), Perge is located on the Mediterranean coast and is the place where Paul, Barnabas and John Mark (gospel author) began their ministry among the people of that region. We visit Aspendos, the Greco-Roman theater, one of the best-preserved theaters of the ancient Roman world. We continue to the architectural city of Antalya for dinner and lodging.

08 Antalya - Laodicea - Pamukkale (186 Miles)

Breakfast: We leave for the ancient city of Laodicea; the city where one of the seven churches of Revelation was located; there we will visit Roman ruins. Later we go to Pamukkale and the mountain covered with chalky white deposits of calcium that f orm semicircular pools that offer a landscape called “The Cotton Castle.” We visit the ancient city of Hierapolis with its necropolis which was the largest in Anatolia and see the Martyrium of Saint Phillip where he was martyred during the persecution ordered by Domitian.

09 Pamukkale - Philadelphia - Sardis - Smyrna

Breakfast. We leave for Philadelphia. Our planned visit is to the church that is named for the Apostle John. This church was a rectangular building with six pillars made of recycled stone with a structure superior to brick. Lunch follows the visit to Philadelphia. We go directly to Sardis; the current city is called Salihli. Salihli was the opulent capital city of Lydia and the first place where gold was used as coin money. The myth of King Midas has the location as Sardis and its origin was goldmines of the River Pactolo that flows through the ruins of the city. We take notice of the Temple of Artemis, the gymnasium, and the synagogue. We continue to Smyrna where Polycarp was martyred and visit the church of Saint Polycarp. Izmir is a province with few inhabitants. Little is left of the ancient Roman city (option to attend mass). We then arrive at the hotel in Izmir for dinner and lodging.

10 Smyrna - Thyatira - Miletus - Kusadasi

Breakfast and depart for Thyatira which is the current city of Akhisar. The city is well known for its purple-colored dyes; we will visit the remains of a basilica from the Byzantine period. After lunch we continue to the ancient Greek city of Miletus in the western part of Anatolia. Here we find the Baths of Faustina and the theatre. Many of the monuments in Miletus are in ruins. We also go to the place where the Apostle Paul gave his farewell speech to the elders from the church in Ephesus. Then arrive at the Hotel in Kusadasi for dinner and lodging.

11 Kusadasi - Ephesus - Smyrna

Breakfast: Then departure for the ancient city of Ephesus which is the best-preserved city in Asia Minor. During the first and second centuries, Ephesus had a population of 250,000 and monopolized the riches of the Middle East. We will visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. On foot we will see the Temple of Hadrian, the Roman Baths, the facade of the Celso Library and the Odeon; a theater with a seating capacity of 24,500. In Ephesus we will also visit the Church of the Virgin Mary where in the year 431, the Third Ecumenical Council took place. Additionally, we visit the house of the Virgin Mary, which is supposedly the last dwelling place of the Mother of Jesus. Transported to the hotel in Smyrna for dinner and lodging.

12 Smyrna - Pergamum - Asos (Or Edremit) (220 Miles)

Breakfast; Depart toward Pergamum one of the richest cities in the ancient Roman province of Asia and the place where surgical procedures were first performed. Pergamum is also the city of one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. At the ruins of the Acropolis we encounter the highest point that is in the center of the city currently known as Bergama. At the Acropolis we visit the steepest theater in the world, the Temple of Trajan, the Temple of Athena and the Altar of Zeus. We continue toward the Red Basilica, temple of the Egyptian gods that later was converted into a basilica by the Byzantines. Galen, the most celebrated doctor of antiquity was born in Pergamum; we will visit Asclepion hospital, then travel to Asos (aka Edremit) for arrival at the hotel for dinner and lodging.

13 Assos (AKA Edremit) Alexandría Troas - Troy - Istambul (218 Miles)

Breakfast: We leave for Alexandria Troas (Alejandría de Tróade) where the Apostle Paul passed several months during his second journey; it was here he had the vision of a man who called him to go to Macedonia and initiate the first Christian sermon on European soil. After the visit to Alexander Troas we continue toward Troy, the ancient city known for The Iliad by Homer and the Trojan War. Here we visit the Trojan Horse and learn its history. We continue toward Istanbul to the planned hotel for lodging.

14 Leave Istambul

Breakfast and transport to the airport for your return flight home.
